Driver protection is required on current or former military training areas maintained by the German Armed Forces, farmers or contractors. Unexploded ordnance from military exercises or developments cannot be ruled out on these areas. The company Rheinmetall Defense at the Unterlüß site has developed an armored tractor cab for these operations together with the agricultural machinery dealer Rebo Landmaschinen GmbH from Visbek-Rechterfeld. Based on a John Deere 6215R in the Rebo-Rack version, the magazine "Stark - Faszination Landtechnik" took a close look at one of the first tractors with this cab for the cover story of issue 1/2019.
